The theme speech contest launched

CHL held the "Live Up to Your Age with Books" keynote speech competition on the noon of September 24 in Room 103, Building 17. Ms. Chai Hongmei, an associate professor of Chinese Language International Education in CHL, Ms. Mai Wu Ludan, Grade 23 counselor, Ms. Li Nan, chairman of Shengwen Association, Ms. Liu Qianyi and Ms. Liu Junna, chairman of Student Association Management Center in CHL, served as the judges of this competition.

In the speech, the students all showed the love for books and the desire for knowledge. The atmosphere of the competition was warm. The contestants closely followed the theme, combined their own reading experience and life perception, and told stories about reading with vivid language and sincerity. Some contestants shared their enlightenment and strength gained in reading, so that they understood the suffering and struggle of life; Some contestants appreciated the local customs and cultural heritage of different times by reading classic literary works, and others took books as friends, and describe the companionship and influence of books in their growth.

At the end of the speech contest, Prof. Chai Hongmei commented on the speech contest. Chai Hongmei praised all the participants, and felt very happy for the wonderful performance. She suggested that the students in the speech contest should pay more attention to their own manners and dress, and she hoped that everyone could read more books on weekdays to improve their reading skills and quality.

The successful holding of this speech contest not only provided a stage for students to show themselves, but also stimulated their enthusiasm for reading.
