Youth Promotion and Practice Group from CHL of Tianjin University of Science and Technology School recently cooperated with Fuxi Nursing Home to carry out legal publicity activities.
The members of the group briefed the senior citizens of the nursing home from six aspects, including falling objects, raising animals, noise problems, and inheritance problems, and answered their questions. At the end of the lecture group members also carried out anti-Internet fraud promotion by introducing several common forms of Internet fraud. The members of the mission also called on everyone to raise awareness of fraud prevention and learn to use law to protect their legitimate rights and interests when they encounter problems. Residents at the nursing home said the presentation solved many of the puzzles in their daily lives.
Under the guidance of the staff of Fuxi Nursing Home, the members of the publicity group also visited the nursing home, and felt its unique design concept and humanistic care. On the corridor walls of the nursing home, there are various "fun perception areas" to help the elderly exercise their hands-on ability, memory, and promote their cognitive vitality and mental health. The nursing home has also set up "nostalgia Spaces" to help the elderly reminisce about the past. In the dining area, the residents’ name tags and tips are pasted on the corner of the table according to the different habits of each elderly person.
In the future, the Youth Promotion and Practice Group of CHL will continue to uphold the traditional Chinese virtues of "respecting the old, loving the young and helping others", and will deeply plant the spirit of volunteer service in the heart and externalize it in action. The Practice group signed a long-term voluntary service cooperation contract with Fuhui Nursing Home, and through more diversified and innovative activities, let traditional Chinese culture shine in the current era, and contribute more new youth power to social development!
