On July 30, 2025, the opening ceremony of the Egyptian college students’ summer camp group of the Chinese Bridge Club (Cairo Station) hosted by TUST was held in Tianjin Museum. Qu Zhigang, Vice President of TUST; Xu Yanhe, Chairman of the Chinese Bridge Club (Cairo Station) attended and addressed the opening ceremony. Madonna Shehata, a student representative, from Ain Shams University in Egypt delivered an appreciative speech. Subsequently, the flag-giving ceremony was held, and Vice President Qu Zhigang presented the flag to the Egyptian college students’ "Chinese Bridge" Summer Camp.

During the summer camp, Egyptian college students will participate in a series of colorful activities, including immersive Chinese learning, understanding Tianjin’s urban culture, visiting well-known enterprises in advanced manufacturing, and experiencing the paper culture, food culture, wine culture, and salt culture of TUST, so as to understand Tianjin and Chinese society in a multi-faceted and three-dimensional way.
